Under 2's

The Baby/ Under Two’s room caters for children between the ages of three months and two years. The room is specifically designed so that the children can explore their environment safely and play happily. It is critically important during the early years for young children to have a wide range of experiences. Our qualified staff work alongside the children to ensure that this happens.

Activities:
The Baby/ Under Two’s room is equipped with a vast array of first stage toys. These are rotated regularly to ensure the development of the whole child. Story telling and song/ music time is also a vital part of the day.

As with the Toddlers and Pre-School children, the Babies/ Under Two’s have a variety of ‘messy play’ activities that they are encouraged to participate in. This includes painting, sensory play (i.e. sand, water etc), gluing and sticking.

The Babies/ Under Two’s also have access to an outdoor-grassed area and often go exploring the grounds around Wringford Down, gaining many valuable experiences from the fabulous surroundings of the nursery.

All activities, are planned in accordance to the Birth to Three documentation.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to provide the following items:

• A named bag;
• Two changes of clothes;
• Disposable nappies;
• Creams and wet wipes (please see consent form);
• Sterilised feeding bottles;
• Milk formula (if applicable), full fat milk is provided;
• Food (if applicable)
• Labelled toothbrush.
